Twitter is removing the ability to create Moments on its iOS and Android apps. This change is happening on October 23rd.
Creating Moments is a feature that wasn’t used very much on mobile apps, Twitter says, so efforts will be refocused on features that people do enjoy using.
“On October 23, we’re removing the ability to create Moments on the Twitter for iOS or Android apps. When features aren’t used as often, we’ll remove them, so we can focus on building other products you’ll love.”
Twitter will not be completely removing the ability to create Moments, as the functionality will still be available on desktop.
Moments can be created on desktop by following the steps below:
- Navigate to the Moments tab
- Add a title
- Add a description
- Choose tweets to add to the Moment
- Set a cover image
- Click the Publish button when complete.
Twitter Moments created on desktop will still be viewable on mobile apps. Moments can only be created and viewed by users in the US.
