Vimeo has announced an integration with LinkedIn that will allow company pages to publish content uploaded to the video platform.
This marks LinkedIn’s first end-to-end integration with a video platform.
With Vimeo’s ‘Publish to Social’ feature, users can distribute video to their LinkedIn company page with a single click.
This integration also includes Vimeo’s aggregated video analytics, which allows users to access viewership and performance stats from LinkedIn (and other social networks).
Peter Roybal, principal product manager at LinkedIn, states:
“Video has become one of the key drivers for member engagement on LinkedIn… Our new integration with Vimeo is an exciting step for anyone who wants to gain more exposure, and understand their reach to LinkedIn’s highly-engaged professional audiences.”
What Does This Mean for Marketers?
Vimeo integration with LinkedIn company pages offers the following benefits to marketers:
- Greater reach: LinkedIn marketers can amplify their reach and engagement with native video uploads. According to LinkedIn, videos on company pages receive five times the engagement of any other type of post.
- Centralized distribution: With Vimeo’s ‘Publish to Social’ feature, Marketers can save time by distributing their videos to multiple destinations with one click.
- Video analytics in one place: Marketers can access all of their video analytics from LinkedIn (and other social networks) from the Vimeo dashboard. They can track performance, viewership, and engagement across each destination where they distribute videos.
In addition to LinkedIn, Vimeo’s ‘Publish to Social’ feature also offers integration with Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter.
This feature is available to all paid Vimeo subscribers.
