This November 2, Mashable will kick off its Media Summit at the TimesCenter in New York City. The Mashable Media Summit is a one-day conference that discusses about how new forms of technology are redefining media. As posted on its website:
New forms of technology and innovative business models are transforming the media landscape every year. From new ways of consuming information to the mainstream use of mobile, from the proliferation of social sharing to different forms of journalism, it’s clear that our increasingly connected world is reshaping how we stay informed and entertained.
Who Will be There?
The known thought leaders and luminaries in the industry will convene to talk about the latest innovations in the space, as well as the future of journalism. This will include Tumblr Executive Editor Jessica Bennett, LinkedIn Executive Editor Dan Roth, and Facebook Head of Entertainment and Media Kay M. Madati.
Bennett and Roth will discuss the rise of social media sites at publishers, while Madati will talk about the intersection of content and entertainment in an ever-growing media landscape.
In addition, Joan Walsh of Salon will join the summit to speak about digital politics. Mashable CTO Robyn Peterson will be on the event, and he will discuss about the latest trend in social media analytics.
Basically, attendees will learn about the technology’s impact on media, as well as how digital media affects every people’s life and how it is changing the world. Other than that, exciting announcements, interviews, presentations, and networking opportunities will take place in the event.
