Bing is the latest ad provider to ban cryptocurrency advertising, joining other ad giants such as Google and Facebook.
Bing deems cryptocurrency, and related products, risky due to the fact they are unregulated. As such, Bing is banning ads for these products in an effort to protect its users from bad actors.
”Because cryptocurrency and related products are not regulated, we have found them to present a possible elevated risk to our users…
To help protect our users from this risk, we have made the decision to disallow advertising for cryptocurrency, cryptocurrency related products, and un-regulated binary options.”
This policy change will officially come into effect in June, with enforcement rolling out in late June to early July.
